Dick Snell

Mr. Snell is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Qualitor, Inc. and an Operating Partner at Thayer | Hidden Creek. Qualitor is an automotive aftermarket portfolio company in Thayer V.

Previously, Mr. Snell was Chairman and CEO of Federal-Mogul Corporation, a $6 billion automotive parts manufacturer. During his tenure, the Company increased sales by 220% and net earnings by 810%, while completing 11 acquisitions and 14 divestitures. Mr. Snell successfully completed two common equity, one convertible preferred and two bond offerings to finance Federal-Mogul’s growth. He was recognized by Worth magazine in 1998 as one of the top 50 CEOs. While CEO, Federal-Mogul was named by Fortune magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in 1998 and 1999.

Prior to joining Federal-Mogul, Mr. Snell was CEO of Tenneco Automotive, a $3 billion automotive parts manufacturer, where he increased sales and profits by 50% in three years. Before being named CEO, Mr. Snell had successful assignments at Tenneco, leading Walker Manufacturing and the retail business.

Preceding his nine-year career at Tenneco Automotive, Mr. Snell was Executive Vice President at Quaker State Corporation, a $1 billion motor oil company that subsequently merged with Pennzoil Corporation. Mr. Snell began his career in marketing at Procter & Gamble, and then moved to Glaxo SmithKline where he spent 14 years and progressed to Vice President, Marketing.

Mr. Snell serves on the Board of Directors at Schneider National and Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc.

Mr. Snell received his Master of Business Administration from Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts from Union College.
