Tim Frend
Tim Frend is a Senior Associate at Thayer | Hidden Creek, having joined the Firm in 2006. Mr. Frend currently works with certain Thayer | Hidden Creek portfolio companies including Roadrunner Transportation Systems, Inc. (“RRTS”), Group Transportation Services, Inc. (“GTS”), and Power & Composite Technologies, Inc. (“PCT”).
Mr. Frend plays an active role in key strategic initiatives at these companies, performing ongoing analysis and developing tools to enhance operating performance. In connection with the significant strategic acquisitions of Bullet Freight Systems by RRTS and MESCA Freight Services by GTS, Mr. Frend was a key contributor to the transaction, diligence, and integration efforts. Mr. Frend has also been actively engaged in RRTS’ pursuit of an initial public offering and simultaneous merger with GTS.
Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Frend was a financial analyst in the Global Industries Group at Banc of America Securities, focusing primarily on the basic materials sector. Previously, Mr. Frend played Minor League Baseball with the Kansas City Royals.
Mr. Frend received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Davidson College in North Carolina.
