Thayer | Hidden Creek acquires Group Transportation Services, Inc.
Washington, D.C., February 2008 — Thayer | Hidden Creek announces that it has acquired Group Transportation Services, Inc. (“GTS”). GTS is a non-asset based third party logistics provider offering a full suite of outsourced transportation management solutions. GTS currently focuses on over 3,000 middle market clients with annual freight spends under $10 million.
GTS is led by a highly-seasoned senior management team with an average of over 24 years of industry experience, including leadership positions at FedEx Logistics and BAX Global. With the management team’s guidance, GTS has developed a robust proprietary information technology system that is highly scalable and capable of handling all of a client’s transportation management needs. This system includes pricing, contract management, carrier selection, freight tracking, freight bill/payment/audit and dispatch.
